Hiro Anana’s Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody (Japanese:, Hepburn: Desu Mchi Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyskyoku) is a Japanese light novel series. It began publication online in 2013 on the Shsetsuka ni Nar user-generated novel publishing website until it was acquired by Fujimi Shobo. In March 2014, the first volume of the Light Novel was released. Ayamegumu’s manga adaptation ran in Age Premium until the magazine discontinued publication, after which it was moved to Monthly Dragon Age. Yen Press has been given the rights to publish both the light novels and the manga adaptation in North America. Silver Link and Connect aired an anime television series adaptation from January 11 to March 29, 2018.
Ichiro Suzuki, a 29-year-old game programmer, was entrusted with addressing a number of flaws in two massively multiplayer online role-playing games that his company is preparing for release. He, on the other hand, becomes exceedingly exhausted when he works on weekends. He mysteriously awakens in a parallel world that resembles some of the fantasy RPG worlds he had worked on, like a 15-year-old named Satou, later Satou Pendragon, a nickname he uses while running beta tests, and with what appears to be the menu screen of the game he was working on appearing before his inner eye.
However, before he realizes what he’s up against, an army of lizardmen ambushes him and launches an all-out assault. He employs all three of his unique ‘Meteor Rain’ attack options at once in desperation (a quick fix he introduced to the game for novice players that kills all foes in the vicinity) and wipes them out, accidentally murdering a deity in the process. As a result, his level rises from 1 to 310, greatly increasing his stats and elevating him to one of the most powerful persons on the planet. With no way to return to his world, he sets out to uncover the secrets of this new world as a high-leveled adventurer armed with a variety of physical, cognitive, and magical abilities and weapons, earning the trust and affection of many people in the process while keeping his overpowered stats hidden.
Satou Pendragon (, Sat Pendoragon) / Ichirou Suzuki (, Suzuki Ichir)
Ichirou, a 29-year-old game programmer, gets transported to another universe and finds himself in the body of a 15-year-old girl. His new moniker is based on the persona “Satoo,” which he invented to test games. Satou wipes down a big hostile force made of high-level lizardmen using all three of the special Meteor Shower equipment in his possession, quickly raising his level to 310 and granting him an enormous pool of skill points. He also receives a large sum of money as well as a large number of expensive objects. Satou disguises himself as a young trader when he arrives in Seiryuu, acquiring new paperwork that conceals his true position. Satou likes to travel rather than stay in one spot, and he wants to figure out how he got to the other world. He usually carries magic pistols and small swords, but when in disguise, he wields high-level weapons.
Zena Marienteil (, Zena Marientru) is a German actress
Satou’s first friend in the other world is a 17-year-old mage soldier. She enlisted in the military to prevent her parents from forcing her to marry a noble, but she appears at ease around Satou. Iona, Lilio, and Ruu are her buddies. She is adamant about joining Satou after her military service is completed.
Originally known as Dog, she is a 10-year-old dog demi-human who was enslaved until Satou rescued her from a cell and has accompanied him ever since. She’s armed with a short sword and a buckler.
Tama is a 10-year-old young cat demi-human slave who Satou rescued with Pochi and Liza. She is a fast-paced individual who fights with two knives. She was ten years old when the show first aired, and she is now twelve.
When Will Season 2 Be Released
There has been no confirmation of a second season renewal as of yet. However, as there have been no official reports on the subject, this does not necessarily imply that the series has been canceled. This is due to the fact that Silver Link, Connect, and other companies engaged in the production of the show have yet to comment on the show’s status. However, this does not rule out the possibility of the show returning in the future.
Despite the fact that the series revolves around an almost defunct isekai category, it has gotten positive reviews from fans and critics both in and outside of Japan. As a result, the anime studio and filmmakers would never consider canceling something as popular as Death March.
The fact that the Season 1 finale ended on a significant cliffhanger suggests that the studio may be planning to resume the plot at a later date. This is what keeps fans of the first season hoping for the following installment. Despite the fact that we have yet to get an official announcement, there is still hope in the community that the series will be revived.
