On Saturday, December 18, Shueisha held a “Jump Festa” 2022 event to commemorate Bleach’s 20th anniversary. By confirming that the story’s final arc would be adapted for the small screen, the virtual event marked two decades since manga creator Tite Kubo initially started the series, which was completed in 2016 with 74 volumes in total. The iconic franchise was translated into an anime series that aired from 2004 to 2012, finishing just before the manga’s “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc was published. Everything you need to know about the new season of the anime adaption is right here.
How to View the “Thousand-Year Blood War” Arc from “bleach” as An Anime Adaption
The continuation of Bleach’s anime series had been sold to Viz Media, which was verified during the announcement. The business has secured worldwide rights to the anime, barring Asia, in a landmark deal, which includes VOD, home video, electronic sell-through, broadcast, and merchandise.
“Through his visual creativity, Tite Kubo has had an everlasting impact on the fandom world and the trajectory of manga and anime history,” said Brad Woods, Chief Marketing Officer of VIZ Media, in a statement on the deal.
He’s also a very gifted and skilled storyteller, and it’s a great honor for VIZ Media to acquire this final arc in his iconic repertoire, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, for fans worldwide.”
To commemorate the show’s return, Viz Media has announced a limited-time special offer in the United States in February 2022, which would allow fans to purchase the whole Bleach English dubbed series for $99. The anime’s final arc has not yet been confirmed by Viz Media, however, all 15 seasons of the original series are presently accessible to stream on Crunchyroll.

The Plot of Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War
The final arc of the Bleach manga series will be adapted for the upcoming season of the anime series, as previously stated. The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc spans over 200 chapters and begins with Chapter 480 and ends with Chapter 698 in the manga series, which implies Bleach Season 17 will encompass 218 chapters.
Season 17 of Bleach is expected to pick up where Season 16 ended: The Quincy’s Wandenreich, or “Invisible Empire,” is a secretive organization. In a battle with the Shinigami a thousand years ago, the Quincy were defeated. As a result, they were able to flee and hide for years, but they’ve been gathering power ever since.
The Wandenreich are predicted to invade Soul Society, resulting in a full-fledged battle between the Shinigami and the Quincy. Ichigo, the protagonist of Soul Society, will endure rigorous training in order to improve his abilities and save Soul Society.
The anime adaptation of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, according to the manga author, would take its time to address issues that the original source couldn’t. Kubo collaborated closely with the anime team to provide the answers, so anime fans may expect additional content from this adaptation. The last season, for example, will disclose who exactly targeted Rukia during the first Quincy Invasion, and that’s only the beginning.

What Happened to Bleach’s Story
Some fans were perplexed as to why the plot of Bleach ended so suddenly. The manga’s epilogue was rushed and abrupt, leaving readers with more questions than answers. Kubo revealed in 2016 that he has damaged tendons and a partial fracture in his shoulder as a result of 15 years of drawing.
Due to a reoccurring cold that he couldn’t shake by 2011, his general health began to deteriorate. The manga artist was frequently bedridden for weeks at a time, only to recover and get ill again. Kubo’s declining health undoubtedly impacted his productivity and made extending the Bleach arc a difficult task, despite him, cheval Kubo also suffered from depression, which made him less motivated to work on Bleach.
