If you want to save money on your phone service, Mint Mobile offers access to the T-Mobile network for as little as $15 a month.
In this review, I’ll go through Mint Mobile’s plans and prices in great detail, as well as how to sign up and what to expect from the service.
I personally used Mint Mobile for 30 days. I also compared Mint Mobile to more than 70 different choices to see how it stacks out against other phone plans.
Consider the Following Before Signing Up for Mint Mobile Access to the T-Mobile cellular network is made possible through MVNO Mint Mobile. All of the plans provide access to the respective 5G networks of the big three cellphone providers, with T-Now Mobile’s offering the best performance.
Mint Mobile gives customers access to a terrific network as well as affordable prepaid rates. Plans begin at $15 per month for 4GB of high-speed data; however, you must pay for at least three months of service upfront.
These are the reasons why Clark.com has recognized Mint Mobile with several honors, including the lowest unlimited phone plan, the cheapest unlimited prepaid plan, and the greatest value for a low-cost phone plan.
I tested the Mint Mobile 4GB plan for 30 days to look at its coverage, call quality, texting effectiveness, customer support, and other features.
Plans and Prices
There are four prepaid plans offered by Mint Mobile, although the price changes depending on how long the plan is for. It’s unfortunate that a Mint Mobile plan cannot be purchased for a single month at a time. Instead, you’ll have to pay three, six, or twelve months in advance.
Each of the below-listed Mint Mobile plans has a price and a certain amount of high-speed data, and you can select one of them. For new customers, Mint Mobile offers discounted rates on its three-month plans, which I have also included.

Mint Mobile offers access to the 4G/LTE and 5G networks. Based on my experience and the T-Mobile coverage map, you should have dependable access to data with this MVNO.

You’ll probably receive decent coverage and quick downloads with Mint Mobile. The fastest download speeds were offered by the MVNO I tested, Mint Mobile. I wasn’t shocked by this since T-5G Mobile’s network already much outperforms Verizon and AT&T’s. To check the data speeds when I utilized Mint Mobile, I used speedtest.net from Ookla.

Serving Customers
It’s important for a phone carrier to offer excellent customer service. Sadly, it seems that practically all big businesses are currently having issues with customer service. Dealing with customer care representatives from phone service providers can be annoying, whether there are long wait periods or ineffective staff.
In order to find out how long I would have to wait for service and what kind of service I would receive, I called Mint Mobile using both phone and online chat.
Contact Mint Mobile by visiting the website, downloading the app, phoning 1 (800) 683-7392 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. EST on any day of the week, or sending an email.
When I phoned Mint Mobile, the customer service agent warned me that wait times were longer than usual. However, there was only a brief two-minute wait for a phone conversation with a customer service representative. After listening to all of the automated announcements, I waited for a little over three minutes to speak to a live person.
When I used the online chat function, it took me just one and a half minutes to speak with a customer service representative. Despite the long wait time, the customer care representative on the other end of the phone was able to speak with me more clearly and swiftly.
However, every customer service representative I encountered (both before I purchased the plan and throughout the month I tested Mint Mobile) was informed, friendly, and helpful.
Methodology
Before I began comparing phone plans, I decided on the key factors I would be looking at. I could accurately compare phone plans this way and get a full picture of what to expect from the service.
